Just a little while ago Daisy got sick. This is the third time she's done this in a week. She will just throw up once and then she's back to normal. She's not had any treats or people food. Just her regular dog food. She doesn't act sick...she still plays and runs. She sleeps a lot but she has always done that (must be nice) Anyway, I called the vet after the second time she got sick and they wanted me to bring her in for blood work. I asked if there was any other advice they could give and they said to feed her just plain chicken and rice.
So I don't know if I should be real concerned right now. Have any of your dogs done this? Or should I just take her into the vet this week? I hate to seem like I don't want to take her to the vet but it's so expensive so that is why I'm wondering if I should wait and just continue to keep an eye on her. What do you think?
Oh - Daisy is a 6 year old Pug.

I am the same way, Daphne... its so expensive to go to the vet. I would just keep an eye on her and feed her the chicken and rice like they said to.
Rocky throws up every so often, and he's fine after.
Can she go outside and eat grass, is your grass covered with snow? My dog eats grass when her tummy is upset, she throws that up, but Ive heard it is okay when they do that.

We don't have any snow on the ground and I've taken her outside but she doesn't eat grass (she never has). She seems to be doing ok...I'm just going to give her the rice and chicken and if she gets sick again then I'm going to have to take her in.

How long has it been since you wormed her? Sometimes they will do that when they need to be wormed. That would be my first bet, you can get an inexpensive one (I prefer the sargeants' liquid one) at Wally World. Just be prepared to guestimate her weight to know how much to get. I use an old syringe to give it to my baby. She doesn't much care for it, but it usually helps her tummy.

Xena will do that every once and a while. She just throws up and she doesn't seem to be sick. I think sometimes she eats too fast and then runs around too much after she eats. I have also noticed she sometimes throws up after she drinks a lot of water too quickly. I wouldn't rush off to the vet if she seems fine otherwise.

Jewels does this but I know it is only when she has been running really hard and playing for so long that she just starts coughing and sometime she threws up her food as well. She had bronchitis once before so I often time contributed it to her being sick and then I also contributed it to her needing her worm meds as well.
