I feed my dog onions all the time! I guess she will not be getting anymore leftover fajitas! This scares me!

Onions are very dangerous for dogs and cats. Also chocolate can kill them.

I once poisoned (or made her very sick) my dog with turkey liver. Not good, she was one sick puppy dog for almost 2 weeks.

Many, many show people used dried liver for baiting their dogs in the ring. I think moderation is the key for some of this. Chocolate is a big NO NO, but my last dog got a bunch of spilled M&Ms one time and she lived for over TEN years after that!

I don't give Gypsy chocolate. I WILL continue to give her small amounts of liver.

FWIW, many commercial pet foods are complete garbage. Dogs are color blind; they don't care if the food is bright red and is shaped into little bones. Why put artificial coloring in it?
