Default Harvey is our new family member

Nope, he's not a rabbit. He's a 2YO tabby cat! I can't believe DH agreed to this! He's been at our vet's office for about a month, looking for a home. He is charming, but has spent the past two days under the bad, behind the book cases...well, you get the idea. He's already neutered, OTD on his shots and is FIV negative. Tomorrow, he goes to get his ears checked and declawed. Before anyone flames me, DH won't have a cat that ISN'T declawed, so I figure that this is the best option. He gets a great home and our leather furniture is safe! Ask our vet; he'll tell you we are dream pet owners. I will post a picture as soon as i have one and can figure out HOW to post it!

well, he made it through the vet's visit. Poor guy is miserable right now! I have pain meds for him but he's wearing one of the hated Elizabethan collars! I hope to be able to take it off soon. I have him settled comfortably in his bed and hope to get a little water down him. I hope the collar can come off SOON.

Poor little fellow, those collars are nasty but necessary.

Well, Harvey is doing very well! At the moment, he is sprawled out on DH's desk on top of a pile of school work! He's a big purr box and thinks nothing of laying in one place all day. As soon as the collar is off and his paws are healed, I will be getting him to play a bunch!

He and Gypsy are getting along well. She is in season right now and is very clingy, but once it's over, she and Harvey willprobably play all of the time!
