Default My favourite things Awww Just HAD to share!

I'm sure you're getting bored with my zoo by now LOL.

But I am SO happy - I always thought animals were 'good for kids' but mine have never shown an interest in any of the animals

The younger children don't even like the rats, which are perfect animals for children - The males have er...... VERY large private parts LOL - which have always put the kids off holding them.

Anyway Sashka doesn't mix well with other children, she is very eager to please everybody and quite shy too and kids think she's 'wierd'

Now I've got the girl baby rats she has taken to one of them ALOT and already takes it all over the place with her in a little bag, awwww. Anyway today she held one of the adult males too. I'm so pleased that she has a friend - that must sound silly but my other kids have LOTS of friends all over our area and Sashka is a loner - I was getting quite worried - Now she has a 'friend' rat.

This is actually Emily with one of the baby girls and Sashka with an adult male (not the one she has taken to) but I still wanted to share them.

    Those are adorable pics!

It sounds like her rat "friend" may be really good for her, too.

I just had a horrible thought Sashka is VERY sensitive and rats only live about 3 years - need I say more?

They've never really been bothered before but this could be heartbreaking!

Still 'her' rat is only 5 weeks old so maybe I'll try and worry when it comes to it.

I'm still REALLY happy that she has a 'friend' for now

LOL - It's over a 100 degrees here at the moment! And our heat is really sweaty and 'close' - It's horrible. We don't have air conditioning or anything here - there's normally no need for it.

I think even Emily can't stand the hat in this weather Actually it would be a perfect time to 'lose' it LOL.

I've never known heat like this here - It is now 20 past midnight and I still have all my doors and windows wide open. I had a bath earlier and I didn't even cool down while I was in it!

We seem to moan when it's cold and moan when it's hot LOL - but you can't sleep (no difference for me LOL) work, play or anything! It's mad.

Can I visit your rats when I come to Great Britain (yeah, like THATS going to happen on MY budget in the near future!) and play to my heart's content? Puuuullleeeezzzzee? I love rats!

Hey Sashka, rats are totally cool! I had them when I was a kid and they are soooo smart and can learn all sorts of tricks. If you want to give them a special treat, put a TINY bit of peanut butter on a cracker or piece of bread and give it to them. Make sure to have water handy in case they get too much of it in their mouths at one time!

You certainly can come and play! How cool would that be then!

What's my chances of meeting any of you - unless I move?
