    Unhappy Gypsy's surgery is 9-16

Well, Gypsy had an Xray on Thursday and she has torn her left hind cruciate ligament. I am going to be broke FOREVER. It is worth it though. She goes in for surgery Tuesday morning. They will be keeping her for a couple of days and then she will be on tranquilizers for awhile to keep her quiet so her leg will heal properly. She is also going to have to be crated and/or leashed for a long time as well. Boy, is this going to be tough on me! Kepping her quiet is like trying to harness the wind. Think healing thoughts everyone!

Gypsy's surgery was this morning. When I spoke with the vet, he said that the ligament was AT LEAST 99% gone. There was a small flap left (he said he THOUGHT it was a piece, but wasn't sure). she is recovering nicely and I can pick her up tomorrow afternoon. I was able to give them $300.00 towards the bill with more to come at the first of the month.
