Sad morning
Hi all,
My oldest son woke me up at 3:30 this morning to tell me that one of our new kittens had died. Jaysn woke up in a panic thinking something was wrong and found that Socks had died. He was so upset. He and I buried Socks next to his brother under the rose bush.
We still have 2 kittens that appear to be healthy and their Momma is guarding them like a hawk. Poor Gracie is still searching for her "lost babies" and was crying for a good portion of the night.

I'm sorry. It's so heartbreaking to see a "mama' cat search for a lost kitten.

Thanks Ladies~ We've been checking on the remaining 2 kittens off and on today and they seem to be doing well, nursing and cuddling close the their momma. I find myself alternating between thankfulness that they are still alive and fear that we will lose them too.
I think the rest of my family feels the same way. We've now lost 4 pets (a bird, our dog Brandi to cancer and now these 2 precious kittens) within the past 3 months and it's just heartbreaking.

Debbie, I'm so sorry for your family's loss. I know how hard it is to bury a loved one.

Debbie I know the pain. July 4 we lost our Becky (dog) and since then we have lost all of Trudy's puppies that she had around the beginning of August. My heart goes out to you, it's never easy.
