    Default Gypsy's whole!

Gypsy got her stitches out today. she looks like Frankendog now (huge red scar on her leg), but we are just so happy she's in one piece now! She still is limping badly, but that's to be expected under the circumstances. I am glad her E-collar is gone. She looked like Sattellite Dog before. We kept asking her if she got CNN or Animal Planet!

LOL, Poor dog. Glad she is on the mend. What is an E-collar?? Is it the same thing as a "cone"? I hope for Gypsy a speedy recovery!
I had a cone on my Pappllion once, she had been chewing at a spot on her hip and the doc put it on her to make her stop chewin. Poor dog, she acted like it weighed a ton and would walk, butt up in the air, head down, as though she had to really put a lot of effort into moving her head and cone. Once her fur began to grow back in where she'd been chewing the doc took the cone off. Never chewed again.

I'm so glad that Gypsy is doing better and will back to her old self very soon now. I'm sure she is thrilled to have that collar gone too!

Yep, the E collar (Elizabethan collar) is a cone! LOL She's resting today since she did a bit more than she was supposed to yesterday. I can start walking her around the block ina couple of days. DS#2 and I are going to the air museum (to go INSIDE the Spruce Goose!) today and I am going to give her a tranquilizer to make her sleep a lot so she isn't tempted to clean her scar some more and maybe open it back up.

Lori, I'm so happy to hear Gypsy is recovering well. to you and her. I know how it is when one of our furbabies is sick and can't tell you where it hurts.
