Good Thoughts for my Special Baby needed

My cat in my avatar is a diabetic. He has been controlled by diet alone since January.

He started acting "off" a couple of weeks ago. I finally had some time to observe him and yesterday I checked his blood sugar and sure enough his diabetes is out of control again.

We have started injecting insulin. He is not doing very well. Please hope and pray we can get this regulated quickly.

The alternative is not where I want to go, although I said just last week that with everything else going on in my life, if he became unwell again I would put him down, I am at that point, and just cannot bring myself to take that final step. After all he is diabetic, and that is not a death sentence, It CAN be managed. But it is time consuming, so do I have the time to devote to make his life better?? ( he is pretty sick right now)

Thanks for letting me ramble and get this off my chest!! I don't know what I would do without you as my sounding board!!

Oh Arlene, I know hoe it is to love a pet like a member of the family. I am sorry that there is so much on your plate right now. Please take comfort in the fact that there are people who care and pray regularly for you and your family, furbabies included.

I feel so bad for you right now, he looks so much like my Festus it makes it even worse. Furbabies are just like kids, you hurt when they hurt. I will be thinking about you both.

Our neighbor has a dog that has diabeties. they give him shots eveyday.
I know this is a hard decission for you and I am keeping you and your fur baby in my thoughts.

I find out tomorrw if our old lady, Sophie, has diabetes. I am a wreck, so I know what you're going through. My fingers (and the paws of the critters here!) are crossed for you.
