    Talking My New Baby!!

Well - the other day (3/14), I talked GW into going to the Animal Rescue League with me (wanna place any wagers here!) anyway - I found this beautiful baby (feline) that I really couldn't imagine living without!! She was 10 months old, red, long hair, affectionate, and just had "MINE" written all over her!! I plopped down $83 that I really didn't have and claimed her before they had a chance to put her down (scheduled for 3/15).....they told me I could pick her up this afternoon (3/16) after they spayed her, gave her the necessary battery of shots, etc.....

    No problem, right?? Wrong!!

Today when I went back to pick up "Kit" (yeah, "KitKat" - guess whose jonesing for chocolate?!?!) the guy says "Oh - there was one problem with your cat....." Any guesses as to where this is going?!?!

To make a short story long......

When you walk through the cages after cages of animals, the workers there won't let you hold the babies......sooooooo.......when I went to pick up Kit today, it turns out that she's a he!! I totally despise male animals - don't know why - my experience has been that females are by far more loyal than the males we've had......the guy offered to refund my money (yeah - and put down this baby....) No thanks....

So ~ ladies & gentlemen ~ Meet my latest rescue ~ Nemo, our newcomer of orange & white!!

and of course a few shameless plugs for my other babies.....

    ButterCup.....

    Angel......

and of course - my baby girl (a very sepia drenched) Zoë......

Nemo has an air of nonchalance about him...Seems to be shouting..."And why wouldn't she want to rescue ME...hmmmmm?" He's a beaut, Deb! As are the rest of your babies!

Congrat's on the newest addition to the family!

Oh Debbie, he's lovely! What a bunch of cuties you have there!
I'm so glad you didn't leave the poor mite to his fate just because he was male! Our dog Cleve is male and is so loving, loyal and protective!

All of your furbabies are precious! Nemo reminds me of Morris, the spokescat for Nine Lives, years ago.

Oh Deb, 6 out of my 10 are males and they are so loveable. It's the females that have attitude!

Nemo is beautiful as are Buttercup, Angel and Zoe.
