    Default doggy urine sample???

    I have to take Chloe to the vet this afternoon for a suspected bladder or urinary tract infection, and they want a urine sample.....how on earth do I get a sample from her???? I tried to put a cup under her and she took of and gave me such a look!!!! Help anyone got a suggestion????( by the way thats Chloe in my avatar

    You did the right thing Jayne, keep trying as it may take quite a few tries. Eventually she will have to go so bad, she won't care that you are behind her doing funny things with a cup!

    I did it!!!!! I got the sample!!!!! .......I went out and did some errands and when I came back she really had to go and your right Dee, she didn't care!!!!!!...off to the vet we go at 3:00

    Hope she's OK Jayne! I had to do the urine sample thing myself once with our last dog, he gave me such a look, but just like Chloe he didn't worry about it in the end.

    Chloe's fine...she has a urinary tract infection, and she is taking amoxacillion(sp?) twice a day and another pill to stop any pain and feeling of having to go...the one pill is supposed to be chewable, but she won't eat it and its to big to push down her throat, so she has been getting it crushed up in some peanut butter The things I do for these dogs

    Glad to hear your dog is on the mend. I keep LOL as I get a visual of you trying to get the sample.
