Smile Gypsy, therapy dog to be!

Gypsy was evaluated as to her suitability for therapy work today and she PASSED! I am soooo pumped about this.

We need to work on her not leaping on everyone (her enthusiatic greeting is legendary in town! ), but other than that, she's ready to go! I have to find a class to take her to and the money to do it. I am GOING to do this, even if it means I have to walk to work for a month to pay for it!

That is wonderful Lori! Go Gypsy!

Will she be working with the elderly or young children or is that yet to be decided?

WTG Gypsy!!! I can imagine how excited you are. Good luck with everything. Therapy dogs are really wonderful!! We had one at the hospital I used to work at, and people loved to get visits.

Gypsy already works with kids at the local schools. We give dog safety classes; she looooves kids. She's comfortable around wheelchairs since our neighbor has one. As a matter of fact, Mike lets Gypsy climb up in his lap and she cleans his head and face!

WTG! I wanted to do that with Laika, but thought against it after talking to some people about it. So glad you are able to do it. Animals reach people in a way we can not.
