    Smile She's missing--UPDATED

We had some painting done today at the house, I guess while the door was open my cat Sydney snuck out. She's never been outside a day in her 8 years. She's been missing since at least 1:00 this afternoon, I've been up and down the street calling her, I even took a walk in the woods to look for her. Right now, I have all the lights on for her, and some food out on the steps--I hope she can find her way back. I'm feeling very sad right now.

Gina! I'm so so sorry. I hope your kitty finds her way home safely. Our furbabies are so important. Will say a prayer for her.

She'll find her way back - if it is her first time out then I bet she is about 15 feet from your front door - hiding cuz shes scared and curious and watching you be frantic. I know this from tons of experience and cats really take their time and rub their cheeks on things so they no how to get home.  But now that she has tasted outside she will be harder to kee in!! Be prepared for her to shoot through the open doors. I know you are worried I always do too - but she isn't that far and shes probably thinking she wants her mommy about now.

I hope she comes back soon. Rocky and Speck did this before as well and neither went to far but when I found them they were fine. A little scared, but fine none the less.

Keep us posted and I'll say a little prayer that Sydney comes home soon.

I'm sorry! My cat Kasey came up missing for 4 days once. I was a mess as he is declawed and hadn't been outside either. We lived in a wooded area on the river. I left food out, put up an ad offering a reward. One morning he was back meowing on the steps actin like not a thing had happened.
Cats are pretty smart critters. She'll find her way back home!
