couple ?? about a ten year old cat...

Raymond has a huge dandruff problem - I give the cats nutri-cal and omega III's but it doesn't seem to help him with the dry skin. He is long haired. Do you think I could maybe give him a dose of cidar vinegar everyday for this - its effective with humans - and if so - how much would you guess - he weighs 19 lbs. and he is a big cat.

Another thing is - he doesn't clean his "tail hole", he cleans everyone else's and I must say there are some mighty scrupulously clean little buttholes around here but not Raymond's - wouldn't be an issue if I didn't always wake up with it on the end of my nose - I think he can reach it , he's pretty pliable, and I don't want to cut his fluffy pants off - any other suggestions - maybe dietary or something - I am NOT a wiper!!
