    Default my new green pet

okay, this isn't technically a pet but as she's taken up residenace just outside my greenhouse, I'm claiming her.

Half an hour ago I was outside watering my plants in the greenhouse and I noticed this tiny frog on a leaf of the avocardo tree I grew from a seed. It's just outside the greenhouse on a bench and was in the sun. She seemed happy though and didn't move at all when I took my photos and shoved my finger in her face.

Isn't she adorable! I think we get these frogs because we live on the edge of the rainforest. Frogs are an indicator species so I'm taking this as a sign that not spraying or ever using any poisons in my home creates a safe haven for these lovely creatures.

I envy you your new pet Rhonda, she is a cutie. We mostly have toads around here. But not nearly as many as we used to. Frogs have pretty much disappeared.

    Thanks for the smile.
Since you proclamed your frog a she I shall refer to it as so.
What a lovely shade of green she is & blends in well on that leaf. She is eyeing your pinky rather suspiciously... I think she knows she would stand out like a sore thumb, ahem...I mean pinky if she sat there.

We have teeny frogs here very similar to that - they like to hang out on my big aloe plant.

I remember when we lived in Lumberton, they (the little green ones like that) would be on our car windsheilds, on the screen door and once or twice they got in the house and would be on the wall. Even if we didn't notice them the cats alway's did
