Talking UPDATED!!! Looks like we decided on the Boston Terrier

My husband and I have talked about and decided that this is the breed for our family. So I started making phone calls today and we are looking for a breeder in our area. We are hoping to go and look at the mommies and daddies of the puppies first then get on a waiting list for a puppy. We want to make sure we see the parents first and the home they live in ect. I just wanted to say thank you again for all your advice on this matter.

PS does anyone have a patterns doggie clothes? Told you I would spoil the new doggie!

YAY!! I'm glad you found the breed for your family. You'll have to post pictures of the new arrival when he/she gets here!! I bought a pattern for doggie coats and beds, have yet to use them! Got them onsale at JoAnn's for a $1. Our dog isn't spoiled!!!

Good for you. A puppy is a joy (although so much work) and a dog is a great companion for a family.

~48 yr. old sahw, livin' it up in our empty nest, smack dab in the middle of everywhere.~

    UPDATE!!!UPDATE!!!!

We are going to look at two places this weekend. The one breeder only has males (from all my reading I found out that the males are more high strung so I would preffer a female) and the other breeder has two females. Just my husband and myself are going we are leaving the kids at home. If all goes well we may have our new baby before spring!!! But the one breeder said that they will also have puppies around June so we could wait. Just wanted to let you know!

my mom had a Boston Terrier from 16 til I think he passed at 16 years old - I know she was in her thirties. She loved that little dog to bits - said he was really really smart and learned very quickly. Her dad brought him home to her in his jacket pocket ( he was that tiny)
