Kricket and Harley..........

I just found out that it will not be possible to keep my babies when we move, the guy said we could have any pets but cats!!!!! I'm devastated! I have had Kricket since she was about 4 wks old, a dog had dragged her almost lifeless body up on our porch. I bottle fed her until weaning age! The dog also had crushed her voice box, so her meow is real light and faint, but I hear her even if she is clear on the other side of the house!!!! I never liked animals until I got Kricket and she stole my heart. We just got Harley a month or two ago, but she has grown on me quickly!!!! I even put her down for naps.........LOL........she is still a kitten and runs and plays and gets into everything, but if I call her into the bedroom, she will jump on the bed with me and fall asleep and then I will get up and go about my business, two to three hours later Harley comes and lets me know that she is awake and then is back at her mischievious ways. I'm sitting here in tears as I think about what I am going to do with them. I've only got until Jan. 31 to find them homes, and good ones, I wouldn't let just anyone have them. I cannot stand to let them go to the pound to be killed!!!!!! This is breaking my heart............

I hope you can find a loving home for them soon. Have you tried calling a cat rescue center? Sometimes, they have names of families that are looking to adopt cats or they may be able to give you some guidance.

Ohhhhh, I'm sooo sorry!

I hope that you find someone to take them for you! Talk to the vetrinarians office, sometimes they know of people looking to take nice pets!

Do you have to take this new place?? There is nothing else?? I couldn't part with my babies for anything - I told one place I looked at that Sammee and Emilee (the lambs) were exotic South American Dogs and they were going to let me fence them in out back. You can't be creative - I built a huge weezil pen so that Bruce would let me keep them - even though they "occassionally" get out. Can't they be penned?? WINK WINK - I will take you r babies if you can't do anything else - I will figure out a way to meet you and get them - I have taken road trips for all kinds of things - plus they are offering free pet flights now on some airlines - find someone with out a pet who goes places frequently and have them save the certificates - we'll figure something out babee girl - but noone would ever love them exactly like you do...

Right now, there is no other place. We definitely would have to take this one and I even asked the guy if we could leave them outside, knowing full well that I would be sneaking them in, and he said no cats........period! I'm at a loss. These are my babies, and I know some who read this will not understand how close I am to these cats but they are my "children"!!!!!Well, now I am crying again, so I have got to get away from this post!!!!

I would say that this is God's way of saying this isn't the place for you. I could NEVER leave my animals no matter what. I hope things work out.

Ask him if you can pay a pet deposit. Maybe he'll change his mind about them if you offer this.

what about your goats and chickens - are you pursuing something you want - or are you catching a big bubble?? You and Matthew love and respect each other - does he know how important your babies are to you??

Oh Roxy, my heart breaks for you. I am with Lori and Kimme on this one. I am the type who would give my life for my cats. I know those cats mean the world to you, they are like children to you . If it were me, I would search until I found a place that would let you keep your babies.

Let me just share with you........Last year our chimmney caught on fire and I had to call 911, they told me to get out of the house now and everyone else too. I told them that I had to find my cats first, and she said NO! Get out now! Do you think I listened to her? No way! I would give my life for those cats. If the house was going to go, I was going to do everything in my power to save them.

Dh had already gone outside with the dd's

Roxy, my heart is breaking with you. I could not imagine having to give up my dogs. If I were closer I would take them for you.

Praying that another solution comes up so that you can keep your babies.

I have been doing alot of praying about this and it hit me this morning! We all have to make sacrifices to walk with the Lord and do His will. Jesus paid the ultimate sacrifice for all of us two thousand years ago! It is not going to be easy, but whoever said being a christian was easy, right? I know that Matthew and I are doing the Lords will and the sacrifices we have to make are nothing compared to the sacrifice HE made.............

Matthew is as close to the cats as I am! We both cried about it last night and then prayed together about what we should do! I thank God for Matthew more and more everyday!!!!!
