Jimmy has been back from the vet...
from his snipping procedure and just hasn't been his usual spunky self. Everything I've read says there shouldn't be a personality change, but I notice a change.
He's still lovey and all, but has just lost his friskiness. He's eating fine and seems fine otherwise.
I know he's been through a lot with being dewormed, shots, flea control, claws clipped, ears swiped for mites, and neutering. (a real thorough poking and prodding) Just kinda miss the old Jimmy and am hoping he starts getting spunky again.
I'm thinking I'll call the vet if he doesn't seem to be himself by Monday.
Anyone else notice a change in the personality of their male cats after neutering? It's not a drastic change, but he used to be more playful.

sara, jimmy might just still be recovering from the op. He might perk up in the next day or two, I hope so.

The first week or so, my males were always very sedate. I imagine too much movement annoys the site. As the days wore on, they always seemed to get better and soon back to their usual frisky, drive-me-crazy selves. Hope that he's much better real soon.

I was so worried when I took my cat to get *de-chenilled*, about two days after I brought him home he was walking funny and slow, his fur looked all greasy and he just slept all the time. he barfed a couple of times, I thought he might even die! I called the vet and they said that it was normal and that he should snap out of it, to give him a constant supply of crunchies and clean water...
He is fine now, back to his spunky mean self!
I hope Jimmy will be the same.

Cool, we have a vet in the house!

Fonz and Hoss just got neutered last week, Peanut they did when they took his eye. Peanut and Hoss were fine within one day. Fonz took a little longer, but then again he is a few months older than them. They are all playing/rough housing little buggers again!

How's Jimmy doing today? He probably just needs some time to get his groove back!

Thank you everyone.
Jimmy is his regular ole self again. I'm so happy. He was just lacking personality for a few days, but he's back to causing his usual mischief.
Man, I missed him those few days. First he was at the vet for a couple of days and then not himself.
I'm so glad he's spunky again.
Special thanks to kestrel91316. I was on the fence on making a vet visit and your pm was very helpful and calmed my nerves.
