Thumbs up Kyla is Michael's best friend

It is wonderful the watch the relationship these two have. Michael can spend hours playing with her, tossing the ball to her, sitting near her and even touching her chewy toys. She loves him and he her. He talks in his own language and she listens. Its like she has a sixth sense.

Do your kids have a special relationship with their pets?

    That's so sweet.

Yep. My kids love Jimmy. Whenever we leave the house they say goodbye to him and whenever we come home again, they both yell out "Jimmy we're back"

It's just so wonderful that Jimmy is part of our family. He sleeps with Zachary each night and both kids take turns feeding him.

They just love him to pieces and constantly hug him and play with him.

He sits with me when I watch tv and plays. I can't imagine not having him part of the family.

Oh that is wonderful CJ! I think every child should know the unconditional love of a pet and vice versa.

I don't have kids, but all my cats have thier own personalities, so I play/interact differently with each one.

Dee everytime I see your new avatar, it brings a smile to my face knowing that they are your babies and that they are cared for so very much.

I agree, I think every child should have a special pet.

Sara, its wonderful to hear about Jimmy and your little ones. I love to hear these kind of stories.

Gypsy knows what time the boys are due home from school. She starts listening for the bus about half and hour before they come home. When they DO arrive, she does the "happy dance" and races around the house, frantically looking for a toy to bring them!

My cats are glad to see them, but are waaay more restrained! LOL

We had a schnauzzer that "raised" our 3 dk's. When our ds (her special favorite of the family) left home, she mourned for him. If you've seen the movie "My Dog Skip" it could have been written about those two.

It's so special when you have a pet that is so beloved and has a special bond with family members. Our little poodle is so much company to me now that my nest is empty, it's amazing.

~48 yr. old sahw, livin' it up in our empty nest, smack dab in the middle of everywhere.~

*We're debt freeeeeeeee! (including the house)*
