Shih tzu owners?
Anyone have or ever had a shih tzu? I've always wanted one but could never make myself pay the $400-$1500 asking price.
A lady has a male to give away on freecycle thats a year old.
I want him soooooooooooooo bad I can barely stand it lol
I read they are good with kids, and don't shed.Is that true..?

I had one once. I think they're a wonderful breed. I can't really think of anything bad about them except that their fur takes quite a bit of attention. It's not a BIG deal, but it's a daily thing.

Let us know if you bring him home.

A friend of ours has one, and he is just adorable! BUT he is already about a year old, and still not reliably housebroken, despite MUCH effort. Our friend has 2 kids, and many friends with children (us included!) who visit often and the dog is wonderful with all the kids. Very sweet and loving. Just hard to housebreak!

I have called the girl 3 times today, only to get the answering machine. I'll try again tomorrow...

She SAID he was housebroken. So I hope he is. But if I do get him,he may have accidents because he'd be in a new place and all.
I have never had a dog in the house,so I really dont know what to expect. I have always wanted one so I'm sure we can adjust

I have one her name is Ella. She is the sweetest , most loving animal I have ever known! She doesn't shed. All we do is brush her with a regular brush. She loves it. You will love the furbaby if you get it!

These little guys are wonderful dogs but they are NOT for everyone. Their coats need major maintenence and they can be dog aggreesive (believe it or not!). Make sure your little guy is well socialized with other dogs and gets along with kitties (if you have them).

DANG! Keep looking--your baby is out there! Check out Petfinder.com. The dogs won't be free, but you'll be rescuing one that needs a home badly.
