Trying to hatch an egg.
Yesterday no where near a tree Dh found a liittle blue egg. We think its a finch egg. We decided rather than let a critter get it we'd try to hatch it. I took a small styrofoam cooler and put bedding in it. We have one of the heat lamps we use for the ducks on it . We went it a dark room and did the "candeling with the flash light and it looked to be fertile from what we'd read. I did it again today to see if it was any different. I'll leave it alone a few days and check again. I hope it hatches! What the heck do you feed a baby bird though?
Dh has always wanted a pet bird so maybe this is it

We found a small bird in a nest a few summers ago that had been abandoned and we feed it worms we cut up in small sizes. After a few weeks, another bird adopted him

onemore thing...I seen some finch bird seed at Lowe's lastnight. Not sure how old the bird would have to be before he could eat that though.

Hey thanks! I'm so excited about this silly egg. I had no clue another bird would adopt a baby!
We were totally baffled as to why we found this egg no where near the trees, barn or a nest.~July 19 saving goal for event $104/$1000
