I was recently told that even though a lot of people say animals are 7 years to our one, that a more accurate age would be to allow 7 for their first year and 5 each year after. Therefore, most would say he is roughly 42 if you go by the old standard of 7 per year. The other way he would be 32 (7 for the first year 5 for the other years).

In the dog show world, we do it a little differently. We consider the first year to be equal to sixteen in human years. After that, it's five years per dog year. Therefore, your dog is roughly 41. This can vary by the breed(s) os the dog and how well the animal is cared for over its life.

    Check out this site Tammy!
You fill in answers depending on your dog's lifestyle, food etc and it gives you the age that it is in human years based on the findings. http://www.dogage.com/
