I agree she does look innocent, are you sure Bubba didn't do it?

I think little Miss Chloe needs a chewie to keep her occupied.

Admit it Tammy, you were bored and chewed the mat and now you are blamming the dog. Don't worry, when something here gets messed up I blame the animals as well.....lol

Since miss Chloe is teething, freeze an old wash cloth for her. Puppies love the texture and it helps numb those poor, sore gums!

As for training her, start NOW. Get a squirt bottle and fill it with water with a bit of vinegar mixed in for odor. When she does something she's not supposed to, squirt her and tell her, "NO!" in a deep voice (think of it as a mama dog's growl). She will get the idea in a hurry! If she is still bad, gently grab the scruff of her neck and shake her a bit (again like her mom would) and grwol, "NO!" at her. This is what her mom would do if she got out of line.

Also, she's old enough to start her leash work. Start by letting her drag the leash around the house. She will get used to the feeling. Then pick it up and have her come with you. When I am housetraining, I keep a puppy with me ALL of the time. I will tie its leash to the chair I am sitting at, when I go into the bathroom, upstairs...well, you get the idea. That way, they can't get into trouble and you can keep an eye on them for the "potty look" all the time!

See if there's a local puppy kindergarten class you can go to. If not, head straight for the library for dog training books! This little cutie has a great mind; make her use it!
