    Forgot to say, the above picture shows Bill, the buck of one of the bunny families, with two of his babies. One of the does is named Emily, the other Sundance.

    I tell you, bunny babies are the one redeeming feature in this whole cheapskate business of raising your own meat. I don't like killing anything for any reason, so I see getting to cuddle babies as a reward for being thrifty even though I don't like it

    Awww....they are just so cute

    A few weeks ago we were at the local animal shelter looking at kittens, and there was this HUGE rabbit there--they told us we could have him for free, but we have no place to put a rabbit. I felt so sorry for my kids.....the lady said that we could just take him, and the kids' eyes just lit up--and then I had to say no It was a huge rabbit too, probably about 25 lbs.
