I tell you, bunny babies are the one redeeming feature in this whole cheapskate business of raising your own meat. I don't like killing anything for any reason, so I see getting to cuddle babies as a reward for being thrifty even though I don't like it

Awww....they are just so cute

A few weeks ago we were at the local animal shelter looking at kittens, and there was this HUGE rabbit there--they told us we could have him for free, but we have no place to put a rabbit. I felt so sorry for my kids.....the lady said that we could just take him, and the kids' eyes just lit up--and then I had to say no
It was a huge rabbit too, probably about 25 lbs.
