what an exciting morning Sat was!
I opened my side door to find a Rottweiler sitting at my back door. Here's a tip. I don't own one!

It was super friendly and my neighbor called the dog catcher for me. My cats were so stupid it was letting them sniff them through the screen. Duh cats...not very street smart for them! They think every dog is their buddy now?

Poor thing was so underweight. The neighbors and I sat on my porch with it til the dog man came. I was sad to see it go but I'm past the point of thinking I can take in every stray I find. As I see it, there are far worst things than being put to sleep. Like starving to death or getting hit by a car. Hopefully it will find a good home. I know it was just so happy to get fed and get out of the rain, poor baby!

AWWW I feel so sad for all the little lost ones! We live in the country and unfortunately, people think they can just dump unwanted animals and they will do alright for themselves. We do what we can for the animals and take care of them until the shelter nearest to us has an opening. It is a no kill shelter, so they stay at capasity most of the time.
I know what you mean about saving them all though. It is easy to want to do it.
If it was a friendly Rottie, it should have no trouble getting addopted out.
