Default Remember the pets of the southern disaster states

Our toen is sending a trailer to Mississippi to help with the relief. People in this community are wonderful about helping out. I went to the Dollar General to get some things to put on the truck. The lady ahead of me was heading to the truck and I asked her if she could take my things as I was on my luch and it was time to go back to work. She gladly waited for my purchses to be rung up.
I had gotten some small toys, bottled water, diapers, and a bag of dog food. Everyone kept asking me if I was sending the dog food. I told them yes. Then, they would ask again. I stated that many people had pets they care for like family and that pets can be a wonderful de-stresser.

I agree, on Dateline the other night they showed a dog standing on a roof all alone, all I could think was that the poor thing was just going to die there.
