Another Kitty Question
Hi everyone...My kitties have a vet appt on Wednesday to get their annual shots and get their nails clipped (not removed)...and while there I am going to have the Vet check Pepper's eye. For a couple days now it has been running...it is mostly clear like water but sometimes she will keep her eye shut. Anyone know what might be the problem? I have checked her eye and there are no scratches/blood or anything like that. It just worries me and I am very overprotective when it comes to them...they are like my kids!! Is that crazy?? My girlfriend calls me the "catlady"...lmbo.
Thanks for any input!!

Could be something so simple as a bit of dirt or dust that she can't seem to get out. She might have scratched her eye, or it might not have anything to do with her eye at all, perhaps the eye lid or tear duct even. Hopefully it will be something simple. I (well i was a teenager, so it was one of the family cats-one of 4 we had together) had a himilayan once that had a small scratch in her eye, i couldn't see it but it bothered her, and she just needed drops three times a day for a week. after the second day she stopped pawing at it, and by the fifth day it stopped watering. She didn't mind the drops hardly at all. But then again, she LIKED baths. Don't hesitate to mention it on Wednesday.

Yep Dorothy, that's all it could be, but it can also be the beginnings of an infection. Let the vet check it out for you and your baby. I've never done drops but have been given and ointment to use in their eyes for infection.
Good luck at the vets' and don't be surprised if you little ones are un-naturally sleepy and quiet for a few days after their shots. Most are quiet for at least one day but others can take longer to come around, they are all different just like people.
