Default kind of a busy pet day!

This morning I got our male cockatiel into the vet for a check up and nail trimming. He's healthy and doing well...and now he hasn't the long talons anymore, lol.

Then after a quick run to the grocery store, we popped into Petco and the kids talked me into some guppies for our fish tank...no fish in it, but we have been maintaining it since our last platy died...filter mishap. So now our fish tank actually has 2 fish in it!

And the reason for the run to the grocery store was for some cleaner and some clear nail polish (there's a few spots of rust on the top that i will clean off and then cover with the polish). We have a larger bird cage that i am going to move our female cockatiel into. THey like to play together, and they play together in each other's cages...kind of a bird follow the leader. Her cage is much too small for the two of them to play when they do that game, so i am moving her into the larger one we had put away.

On a side note, that fish tank hasn't had a fish in it since before ds2 was born, so for over 6 mos now, we have been maintaining a fish tank minus fish. Now I will wait to see how long it'll take DH to notice.

Lots of pet fun at your house Missy. let us know when he notices.
He will probably get curious when he seed the kids staring at the tank, at least I hope he will. Did they name them?
