Can I tell you what weird thing my ducks ate?

I've always been careful to feed them healthy food. But usually when I cook down a chicken carcas for soup, I toss the skeleton. I guess because you always hear not to give chicken bones to dogs, because they tend to splinter. I didn't know how the ducks would do with it.

Well, yesterday, i got brave and gave them a cooked chicken neck. Picking meat off of a chicken neck makes me nuts, so once I've gotten broth from it, I'm done. Now, ducks eat 'grit' which are rocks that aid digestion, and mine have eaten slugs that are almost as big as a chicken neck. I actually thought they might choke on that big slug. So anyway, I gave them the neck, thinking they'd pick off the skin and meat, and if they swallowed a vertabre or two, it'd be sort of like grit.

I went out to feed them this morning and THE WHOLE THING IS GONE!! Cracked me up!
