I don't understand how people can be cruel to animals. I'm so glad you found her.

I don't know anything about horses, but even in my uneducated opinion, she looks thin! Glad you got her when you did!

I'll never understand how people can be so cruel to animals. Anyone else addicted to Animal Cops?? It seems that 1/2 the population is starved! I only hope there's a dark place for people that do this!

The poor, poor thing. I hope the people who did this to her will suffer for it.

I'm so glad she found your hearts and home.
I always remember a rescued mare that my mother and dad took in when I was 4. She was rake thin, but within weeks my parents had her all round and plump and pretty again.
My main memory is her sticking her head in at the window when we had meals. (it must have been warm, summer likely) but it happened a lot. Mum would give her carrots and apples and so forth and it was like having a large pet, too big for the house, but joining us anyways.
By the time we left that posting, my parents had found a good home for her. She was so gentle and kind, my mother could trust her not to nip us when giving treats, and she allowed both my sister age 1 and myself on her back without a problem.
