Our new additions

we got two more birdies today, nope the cockatiels didn't have babies...yet. But we got two zebra finches. We already had two extra cages, so we didn't even have to worry about that. They are so funny, they make a noise that well... it isn't a peeping noise, it isn't a squalk...its sort of a quiet squeese toy sound...sorta. Have you ever seen at the beginning of the movie ...i think it was Monsters Inc, that had the short movie before the main feature about the birds on the telephone line, if you remember it, that's sort of the noise the finches make. I don't know how else to describe it. They sure tickle me when they get chattering. It's funny.

forgot to add a pic. They are both females. #1 is obvious and on the swing #2 is hiding to the right, you can see her head poking up from behind the fake pine stuff, made a good hiding spot.

We were given some zebra finches once when a friend's mated. They are such sweet little birdies. They do make the softest little twittering chatter. Enjoy those babies Missy.

Oh they're so cute, and I do remember those birds on the telephone line so I know what you mean about their chatter.
