Here are Maleka and Arcamedis. They appear to be arguing over who's turn it is for diaper duty.

DS2 thought the whole thing was pretty funny.

And here's Arcamedis sitting on his egg. Yes, his. It is wooden and we were told it would either 1 encourage Maleka to lay her eggs there, or 2 encourage mating. She refuses to sit on it...she seems to KNOW it's not hers. He on the other hand isn't so fussy. He likes it, he rolls it, sits on it, etc.

I know nothing about birds--are those birds noisy?

They do make some noise but not bad Michelle. They chirp some, mimic some and in the mornings they usually whistle some... .

Arc is incredibly noisy, lol. He has to remark about just about everything. He doesn't talk any, but he does chatter (the noise you make to call a cat or dog...hard to describe) wolf whistle, mimics a robins song, does his mating call (i'd have to hold a phone up to him to show you what he sounds like with that one, lol), he makes a quiet peeping noise and so on.

Maleka is very quiet, she peeps, squaks when startled. That's about it.
