Please welcome Oliver
Well we said yes to the horse which our neighbour is giving us for Dd !
His name is Oliver he is 4 years old!
He is 3/4 thouroughbred and 1/4 quarterhorse. He is a bay. I met him today and he seems very friendly and sweet.
We told Dd and she was trembling with joy. She can't wait to go and meet him! It is the most amazing gift anyone could have ever given her. She is sooooo happy.

Lori, I wish I had a digital camera.....maybe someday in the future. But then I would have to figure out how to post a photo.....maybe its a good thing I don't have a digital camera LOL.
I will try and describe him.
He is a bay. He is chestnut brown with black "points" (black tail, mane......). He has a star on his forehead and a small blaze on his nose.
My neighbour is taking Dd to see him tomorrow afternoon. She still can't believe it's true.

Well Dd went with our neighbour to see Oliver (Oliver Twist). I didn't go because I would have had to take my other two and I wanted Dd to have this time alone.
She came home beaming from ear to ear and wouldn't stop talking!!! She said he is perfect and beautiful. He is 15.2 HH and will probably be 16HH. She said he was very friendly with her and his father is absolutely gorgeous too. He would make a good western or English horse. She just went and spent time with him, just to BE with him. She will do that at first and then start grooming ..........bonding she calls it. The owner has started to feed him only with a halter on.
SiL phoned to talk to her too. She is the "horse" person in our family. she is so happy for her and said it will take alot of patience to train him but he is a beautiful horse. She told me she is going to give Dd a grooming kit for Christsmas
. She also said that she is thrilled that she isn't the only horse owner in the family anymore.
