    Exclamation SKUNK

Well, last night at midnight Baxter wanted out. SOOOOO, I opened the door, heard a big scuffle, and then... That smell! He got a bath with vinegar, most of the smell is gone. How do I keep the skunks out of the yard?

I am sorry to hear he got all stinky! but he is a cute little dude! We don't have Skunks here, but I have heard a lot about the smell they make, I actually had an American friend who actually LIKED the smell of Skunk!

i have no idea how to keep them out of your yard. maybe your extension office or the vet would have an idea. i think they are scavengers so maybe make sure your trash is up.

good luck, and baxter is a doll!

Jack placed a havaharttrap outside to catch squirrels. well he thought he had one but it was all covered with mud. Much to his surprise he figured out what it was but a tad too late, he got squirted. Then he came inside with that robe still on and put his clothes in MY washing machine! If it happens again he's getting naked and hosed down outside.

Keep all dog and cat food picked up. Also, tie down garbage can lids. If you have fruit trees, pick up any that fall. Skunks like to eat the fruit as well as insects that feast on the fruit.
