    Default Flea Collar Question

I have a package of Hartz Control Ultimate Flea Collar, for puppies. My problem is I have no idea how long ago I bought this thing. There's no tellin. I can't find an expiration date anywhere. The box hasn't been opened at all. How long are these things good for under these circumstances? It says only about when it's opened it lasts fot 7 mos.

Is there a code on the package anywhere? Sometimes, you can email the company with the code from the packaging and they can tell you if it's still good or bad. I've done this with food products before.

PLEASE be careful! i used a flea collar of my dd cat, 2500 later we got her out of the vet. she had an allergic reaction, so the next time i used the powder, same thing just not as expensive. i only use frontline liquid now. i would call the company or email them.

I am not keen on Flea collars, they tend to stink!! or they used to way back when I did use one.

These days I prefer natural remedies, but if you think/know the dog already has fleas then the Frontline drops are better.

called the company, they have a four year shelf life and this particular box was made in 99, so in the trash it went!

Don't bother with flea collars; they only keep the fleas away from the end they are on.
