Maleka the brave....

Maleka the not very smart sometimes.

Maleka is our female cockatiel. She is usually a very calm, well mannered birdie. However after spending about an hour napping on my chest while I napped on the couch, she decided to get down and show Emma how very big she is. So she flew down right in front of the beagle's nose and spread her wings as far and wide as they could go. Emma of course thought "Woo hoo- a new game...a new TOY" Before Emma could get ahold of Maleka, I scooped up my brave, but not too bright birdie and put her in her cage with some veggies to keep her occupied.

Disaster averted.
