I think Rex is a fine name for a bird.
No, I don't have any birds but grew up with a pet bird named tutu.

missy thats cool, are they trained? like to they stay out of their cage and paly in the house. mine don't, i tried hes a chicken to everything. so i dont wnat to sare him to death. i only take him out jst long enough to check him for mites or parasites once i awhile. his feet got dry beacuse of the chlorine in the water, so we buy our water now, and i have to mist himwarm water, he won't bathe in the tub. his feet look great now, and he hardly ever scratches anymore.

Yes, they are trained to hang out around the house. I have perches up high so they can be out and get away from the dogs and kids if they want, otherwise they fly up to the curtain rods. I don't clip their wings, because I need them to be able to get away from the kids when they need to. The finches are strictly cage birds. Too small to handle them with out hurting them. And they're spazzes anyhow. LOL. My tiels like to follow me into the shower so we don't have to mist them all that often, lol. And they like to cause trouble here and there...especially when i knit or crochet.

We might very well be adding parakeets to the mix soon too!!

thats cool. i wish mine would spaz . The kids got him to scared . maybe some day, wow u have alot of animals. wre animals lovers too but we only have the budgie beacuse when we moved i wasn't giving him away( they don't want any animals iin here) . I presumes they meant dogs and cats beacuse of any messes or smells left behind lol
Whe we moved to town after selling our house it broke my heart to give up my pomeranian, beacuse all we could find was a apartment. But he's in agreat home, where hes loved. A older single man . who misses his pom. and was lonely for company.
