Fostering a Pyr!!
My "little" foster pup, a Great Pyrenees puppy named Nokia, showed up this morning. Wow, what a sweetie! She is going to charm the pants off of whoever adopts her!
She is five months old, and the only thing I know about her is that she was basically raised without human contact at all. But you would never know it based on how affectionate and loving she is! She also gets along wonderfully with my two dogs, both of whom are used to me bringing foster dogs home and know how to show them "the ropes." :-) She is already as big as my lab/pit mix, and he is almost 90 pounds. She is only about 60 pounds, but totally fuzzy, so she looks bigger.
We will need to work on house-breaking and walking on leash (if this rotten rainstorm ever lets up), but otherwise, she is already a very well-behaved and friendly pup.
I thought Chow Chow puppies were the cutest things in existence, but after seeing this Pyr, I may have to revise my opinion!DH aka Mad Hen

Pyrs are the loveliest dogs! Congrats on the baby. Just be careful and don't become a member of the "Failed Fosterer" club!!

I think fostering a dog speaks alot about what kind of person you are. There are so many worthy animals who just need a shot to show how loving they are. Good for you!
