How many pets do you have?
And what kinds are they? Do they live in the house, or strictly outdoors?
We have 4 cats, all indoors. I am so tired of litterboxes, I probably will never get another cat, unless it's safe for them to go outside. We have 4 dogs, who live primarily inside also - a Lab mix, a Belgian Malinois, a terrier mix, and a cocker mix. Too many really, but they're family so they're not going anywhere.

Whoa Sara; that's a lot of critters
! We have one cat and one dog; the cat is outdoor/indoor in which he sleeps in the basement here at night and gets let our every morning to "play" while we're at work. He does have a litter box that I only need to clean out maybe once every 3 months in the basement b/c he only uses it for "emergencies" about once every three months. We do not keep one in the actual living portion of our home.

I have two dogs who spend most of their time outside (they have too much energy for inside!) but come in at night. One is a blue heeler/aussie cattle dog mix (blue merle head to toe) and the other is a blue heeler/boxer mix (trindle)

I have my 2
girlz
Samantha is DH & mine 1st girl while both of us growing up we both mad male dogs! DH got her from a shelter in 1995 when we lived in an apartment in Bayville we shared w/DH friend who had a few ferrets
they all played together!
Samantha had a time out box when she was doing something she shouldn't have done, like going through the garbage. She was familliar w/this since she was an abused dog who searched the streets for food until they picked her up & she just walked into the dogcatchers truck, she didn't bark until a few months later. & then only if she heard someone, this was good because living in an apartment & if she barked alot would of been a problem.
She is a black lab/greyhound & sheperd mix
Keona DH & I adopted in February 2000 during a snowstorn upstate she was 8 weeks old when we got her from the shelter. Someone dropped her off on a doorstep in the snowstorm & they brought her to the shelter. I just happen to call the shelters looking for a chocolate lab mix puppy @ the right time & asked how could I adopt her over the phone since it was a long enough ride to get out there & I didn't want to be disappointed when I got there she was adopted
didn't want that to happen, so the lady said she'd hold her for me but the shelter closes @ a certain hour & by the time I got there good thing I had my cellphone & called her she brought the puppy to the vets & got all her info, etc. & we adopted her there
Yep! she was my newborn baby pup DH wasn't ready for us to have a real baby yet so he said Samantha needed a baby too! I needed something to keep me busy after my Dad died in 1999.
I named her Keona because I wanted a different type of name & something to do w/God since my Dad did alot for the church! Also the meaning of her name is God's Gracious Gift & to me that's what a baby is
I searched through many names & thought about a HAWAIIAN name since her pretty brown color reminds me of a Hawaiian tan I had many years ago.
Funny thing DH Hawaiian name is Keoni I forgot all about that until
I found a keychain we bought in Hawaii!
Both of the
girlz
sleep in our bed @ night, Keona cuddles w/me & she has to be under the blanket, Samantha has her own spot on the side of the bed where she likes to sprawl out & sometimes push DH off the bed!
The love to go bye byee's leaving them home they usually think they've been bad, then start doing bad habits too nothing really bad just schredding some papers on the floor, no messes @ all of
even when Keona was a baby she wanted to follow Samantha outside & copy everything she did! She thought of Samantha as her Mommy
DH took her outside that day since there was a bit of snow we didn't want her getting lost in the mountain of snow so he found a spot that was safe & she took care of business
We always left newspapers on the floor so just incase she had to go but she never used them & decided to just schredd them as she was playing & running around.
Ginger is Ma's now but originally was my Dad's since he always loved Samantha he said he wanted a dog just like her
So I went back to the same shelter DH got Samantha from & saw she looked a bit like her except it's hard to tell size in a cage when Samantha wasn't allowed in there to really compare!
She is a mix of a black lab/rhodesian ridgeback & DH says she's a big girl, she got along great w/all the cats & kittens @ Ma's house that were outdoors, they never liked the house!
So when my brother was sick & in the hospital I decided to let Ginger live w/us so I can let her visit him in the Nursing Home because I had to go stop @ Ma's house to walk her (she had to be on a leash or chained up in the yard) or she'd run away! Take a tour of the neighborhood or follow the cats & come back.
Since she was always by herself she wasn't used to getting along w/the girlz but to some point now they do, except when there's food involved
so I just separate them.
While she was @ Ma's house she was always into chewing things, like shoes, socks, we always had to give her a rawhide bone every night! The girlz are not allowed these because the vet said they are bad but real bones are better. I bought a sterilized doggy bone & nobody wanted it
She likes sleeping in the kitchen or right by the front door on the doggie bed or old couch cushion! She doesn't like going bye byee in the SUV she gets scared!
We have a pond we had koi & goldfish in & every year got new baby fish, then they all vanished nobody was floating like a few years ago one of the huge koi fish were DH thinks Ginger ate them since she was always by the pond & drinks water outta it
when she's got fresh water on the deck when she outdoors!
Here's the girlz sunbathing on the deck! The upside down garbage can is covering a speaker on the deck! Under the brown tarp is the pooltable!

I have my orange tabby Oscar. He's about 15yrs now. I got him to keep me company when my husband was in Okinawa and on TDY all the time. He's mostly indoors. We live in an apartment comples and he goes out in our small fences patio area, he occasionally goes out of the area but never far and none of my neighbors mind a bit.
I also have a guppy named Cletus.
