Talking Need Help w/ House Training New Puppy

Hi all! I need your help. I got a new puppy, a little Yorki. Her name is Mazzie and she weighs 1 1/2 pounds at 3 weeks old. She's just adorable. I have wanted a small lap dog forever! Anyway, I need some help with house training her. Any tips you could share would be most appreciated. It's been a very long time since I have had to do this. Thanks in advance!

EEK! I can't figure out how to edit my post.
That should say Mazzie is 3 MONTHS old, not weeks. Sorry ladies. I was up most of last night with my youngest son and I am exhausted.

Get a crate for crate training, clicker training is good too, and you will need something for teething time, I used ice cubes and frozen rags for my Wuppy!

    Have Fun!

Take the puppy out every hour and praise her when she "goes" outside. You can start using a word when she potties so she will get used to the word and knows what she is supposed to do when she hears it. Don't punish her for pottying inside unless you actually see her do it, she won't understand. Also let her out the second she wakes up, right after she eats, right after she plays. Definitely get her a crate. They will love the crate, that is "their" place. Don't let anyone bother her when she is in her crate. My dogs are 3 yrs, 6 years and 12 years and they still go in their crates sometimes just to veg out.

If she bites or nips , put your first finger on the inside of her mouth so she can bite down, not stright in or forward , that will make her sick. Just enough form the side to make her gag a little, I had a pomeranian and he loved to nip at first, thats what we did, and he stopped right away. And lots of praise, they want attention. As siad above, the crate works really well, and as soon as they wake up, take them out. Mine only took a month or so to train. He was smart, they learn fast. Have lots of raw hide around, or chewy bones when your gone . When your home, keep all plants and things aoff the floor, they try to eat and chew everything, and lots of plants that are too close are poisionous!!!
