Does your cat?
[B][/ever drag themselves across the carpet? My cat has been acting strange latelty. First she started chasing her tail like a dog does, now I have had her for 7 years and this cat has NEVER done anything like this before until now. Then she started stretching out on the carpet and using her front claws dragging herself across the carpet. Then she starts rolling from side to side
It's the funniest thing I've ever seen. All the cats I've had throughout the years none have ever done any of these things and so I'm just wondering if anyone elses cats have ever done this or has my cat completly lost her mind all together?

Lol, as long the cat isn't dragging it butt across the rug I think your ok.
Cats are something, mine was just sleeping, came over to the puter , sat on the puter mouse. I scratched his back and then he went back to the couch and went to sleep.~*Darlene*~

Sounds like normal, bizarre cat behaviour to me!

Oh yeah, the lie down stretch out and drag yourself across carpet with front paws. Two of our cats will actually do this on cue (at least 80% of the time) DH or I will say "Who's the most pitiful, pitiful cat? Who's a poor misunderstood kitty?" and two of our shameless hams will go into the pitiful-crawl.
We love getting them to do this for the rare times we have company. Company has to admire our 7 cats and listen as we gas about how cute and smart they are. It's payback for all the rot me and DH listen to about everyone else's kids and grandkids!

OH definitely sounds normal!!
I have 2 cats, a male & a female. My male cat will "request" you pick him up and you have to hold him like you would hold a baby on your shoulder!!
Literally, you have to hold him around his back supporting his butt while he puts his paws over my shoulder & snuggles his head into my neck!
It's the funniest thing!

Yup, one of my three cats does that. In fact, he's doing the 'pitiful roll' around the living room carpet right now. It's hilarious. Every night after the kids are in bed he comes down to the living room and puts on a show
