    Default Introducing... Jersey!

and I adopted a new baby girl today! Her name is Jersey and she's about 7 months old. She's a pretty little girl, all black and white with a "beauty mark" (although we expect a few "Hitler" cracks) on her upper lip. She is fitting in slowly -- Tempest, our older male, seems to be getting along with her pretty well so far. They're still at the "What the hell? Who are you?!" stage, and Jersey is too busy exploring to get too personal yet. So we'll see how things go.

The pictures are taken from the vet clinic where she was staying.

We actually found her through PetFinder.com. Where we are both going to school next year (come on, student loan!) and our current cat, Tempest, is a wee bit overweight (tipping the scales in at 16 lbs.), we decided that it would be a good idea to get him a "girlfriend" to keep him company while we were away. And when we found this pretty little girl, we went to visit her. She was extremely affectionate and sweet, and even now, when she's still pretty scared, she likes it when I pet her and talk to her gently.

"It's springtime for Hitler and Germany..." Right when you mentioned Hitler that movie came to mind. That and, "Can I take your coats, hats, sssssswaticas?"

    Haha!

she's pretty. reminds me of our Boogie. He had similar markings and same colors, we called him Boogie because he looked like he had a little "boogie" right by his nose.

She LOVES jingly toys and will play with those, but she's still pretty timid and spent most of the night under the bed. We haven't fed her yet, because she was being fed a specific amount of food and I wasn't sure how much she'd had yesterday. will feed her when he gets up this morning.
