When do you give your dog his/her heartworm pill?
We always give our dog her heartworm pill on the 1st of the month. I was just curious if others do the same or they have another day they always give it.
Where do you purchase your dog's heartworm pills? I purchase it at the vet's office. I pay 22 dollars for 6 months. Lucy is only 18-20 lbs.

I give mine the last week of the month. I buy mine at 1800petmeds, I can't remember how much they costs, not too bad though. Baxter weighs around 70 pounds.

I have three dogs and they all take theirs at different times each moth...I use the stickers that come with the pills to mark the calender...I spend over 100.00 for six months for the three..I get mine off of my vet too...I tried 1 800 pet meds , but they weren't cheaper

Mine get them on the 1st. I buy them from the vet because I work there and get a discount, but if I didn't, it would probably be 1800 Pet Meds or Drs Foster & Smith.

I give Frannie hers on the 16th and Hunter gets his on the 20th. We get them from our vet and a six moth supply for both runs about $80 ($35 for Frannie and $45 for Hunter). They get their flea treatments on the same day as their heartworm treats. We give the cats their flea treatment when we do Frannie's stuff.

One dog gets his on the 5th, the other dog & cat get theirs on the 15th. We purchase it from our vet, probably $125 for 6 month supply for all 3. Haven't priced other sources since its convenient & within our budget. We also use the stickers on the calendar to help us remember.

Freya gets hers on the first day of the month. It is easier for me to remember that day.
