Default another new addition coming to the family

We have always wanted to have 2 big dogs, boy did we get one of those when adopted Mowgli back in April. So i set out to find our second one last week, and really had the desire to help a shelter puppy. Out here there seems to be a big problem with people adopting cute little puppies, and then either abandoning them or just getting rid of them when the grow up in to big big doggies. So I looked and looked at the shelter for a puppy that I could raise, that would grow up to be big beautiful dog. Well me and DH sure did find her on friday! Shes a 10 week old Rottweiler Mix. We should get to pick her up either today or tomorrow (she has to go to the Vet first to get spayed). We have already named her Lucy. Shes a great sweetheart and out of the Litter of 6 she really connected with us. She has 4 brothers and 1 sister, still left at the shelter, whom I would love to take all of home, but then we'd have to give up our den for a doggy bedroom lol, and DH wouldnt like that lol. She is a bit too young for them to tell what her mix is, but i will ask the vet to see if she can figure it out when i take her, or i will order a Doggy DNA test. Not out of concern, but just for knowledge. I dont have any pictures of her yet, but i do have a picture of the whole litter. I will get more pictures of her when she is home and recovered from her Spay.

Well I got a call from the shelter, she went in for her surgery this morning. So I can pick her up from the Vet sometime this afternoon. Im so excited she will be here today, we've been preparing the house for her arrival diligently.

Thanks everyone for your kind words, picked her up about 6 hours ago, shes adjusting well. No problems with our other pets. Shes very much a puppy lol, full of energy even though she just had major surgery lol, and shes a climber,we have baby gates we were going to use to keep her in one room but she can climb right up them, then we move them up so she cant climb them and she squeezes under them. Luckily we have a very large crate she can use, so shes not out and about having accidents all over until shes potty trained.

Decided we are for sure going to order her a DNA test, just think its the best thing to do. A bit un-frugal of a price, but nice information to have.
