Our miniature dachshund puppy....
passed away today. We have been on vacation since Monday and we left my MIL to watch out furbabies. Friday she called to say he was getting sick. I called my friend on Saturday who works for the vet we use and she said it might be a stomach virus. My MIL called to inform us he was worse. The vet is out of town so that doesn't help. This morning, Sunday, MIL calls to say he isn't moving just breathing hard. I knew that he was probably going to die, but I didn't want him to...not until we were home with him anyway. The boys are upset, especially DS#3 because he slept with him every night. I wish we could have saved him. He was so cute and loveable. He had such a good spirit and loved to play with everyone. We will all miss him so much!! It will be sad when we pull up in the yard and he doesn't come running to us. (MIL lives right next door, so they will know when we pull up in the yard.) I just hope he didn't suffer.

Losing a pet is almost like losing a family member. I'm sorry about your puppy's sad departure. I'm sure your MIL was kind and caring to him in his final hours. God and Goddess bless him and you.
