Default Introduce your four-legged family :)

Not sure if we've done this before, but I thought it would be fun

Zena is 7 years old, we adopted her from a local shelter at the age of 10 weeks. She is assumed to be a Whippet Mix.

Cherry is almost 2 years old. We adopted her from the shelter December '05. She is assumed to be a Pit/Lab Mix.

Baby is the oldest - he's 13 years old. Hubby and I adopted him from a neighbor when he was 6 weeks old. He's about 22 lbs now, and has far outgrown his name, but he is the sweetest - most loving soul -

Knat & Nell are brother & sister - they are 8 years old. They were brought home around the age of 5/6 weeks. Knat is very, very shy - he prefers my hubby of all humans. Nell has had a rough life from the start - she was attacked by a dog around the age of 2, she walks with a gimp & is terrified of all dogs now. She is a lovebug to people though -

Your Patches looks like my Patches!!

I don't have pics to post, but I will try to get some.

Sassy is a 2 1/2 year old miniature dachshund. DH rescued her from being abandoned when she was 3 months old. The person who owned her didn't want her and was going to drop her off along side the road. He couldn't let them do that and brought her home. I am so glad he rescued her. She has become our baby!

Patches is our 10 week old kitten. He looks just like Bumplett's Patches. He is black with a little patch of white under his neck and a little on one of his paws. A few weeks ago, a lady was trying to give away kittens in the parking lot and I saw him and feel in love with him. Of course, I had to bring him home. He is very playful, but of course he is still a kitten.

does your Patches have white whiskers also? I think that's the cutest thing - I didn't name her, she was an owner turn in at the shelter - so they had her name written down - I don't have the heart to change anyone's name after a certain point

Zoey (in my avatar) is my DD's dog and they both live with us. Zoey is a Jack Russell mix and is 1 year old. She was a rescue and had been starved and abused as a baby. She is just delightful! DD and Zoey are moving into an apartment on August 1

Skipper is my dog. He's 9 years old and is a Lab mix. He has a tumor growing in his nose and he is cranky most of the time but he LOVES Zoey

I love these kinds of threads

This is Frangelico AKA Frannie. She will be 2 on July 17. We got her from the shelter August 15, 2005 when she was just 4 weeks old. She is a well travelled pooch. But don't tell her she is a pooch. She believes she is a short, hairy human.

This is Jack Daniels AKA Jack. The vet has certified him as psycho - he even has mood medicines. However I do not give them to him - they just make him sleep. He turned 3 on July 5th. We found him under a shed at church. The vet said he was only about 2-3 weeks old. Keeping him alive was a struggle.

BTW, I have tried to make my pics smaller but it is not working. Sorry they are so large.

Jack is beautiful. He looks Siamese without the siamese mask...if that makes any sense. He's a pretty boy!

This is Hunter Heineken AKA Hunter. We found him at the ballfield April 19, 2006. He was hungry, full of ticks, and had a belt bolted around his neck. He ate 4 lbs of food that first night we found him. He is sooo loving and sweet. HThe vet thinks he was about 2 when we found him. So we celebrated his 3rd birthday on April 19, 2007.

Say hello to Mocha-choka-latte AKA Mocha. She found us two years ago in June. We celebrate her birthday as July 10th since the first night she spent inside our house was July 10, 2005. The vet said she had to have been someone's pet because she is friendly and was already spayed. She is a world class, all-star sleeper. She loves a good nap.

Here is a link to my photobucket album that have my pet photos. I don't have any posted of my rabbit. He does not photograph well -lol.

We have one furbaby. Harley is an AKC registered schnauzer. He will be a year old in August. He is a sweetheart, I wanted a bigger dog but DH had his heart set on a schnauzer for some reason so we found our boy and he has been a joy to have in our household.
