My new baby is here!!!
I picked her up yesterday, I had to drive my son out that way, so I called them and they met me. So Bella is home!!!!
She hasn't had one accident int he house. She has whimpered at the back door to go out. Bella is very shy, and tries to hide some, but she's comfy enough to sleep on our laps. She is taken with our littlest, which was the consideration in getting her. Even when trembling when we first met her, she curled up in dd4 lap, looked up and gave her a little kids.
We put her in the kennel last night expected a night of crying, and she slept through!
I currently have her kenneled to give her a break from the kids, who are OVER JOYED at having a "baby" in the house. And she curled up and went for a sleep.
So far so good. She has a really sweet disposition. She is protective of us from other animals too. We were fitting her for a collar, and another puppy was there, and she was growling low. Not sure I like that, but she is fine when the kids come up and she's being held. We'll need to work on the socialization I guess.
Here's her giving hugs!
We bought her a plain pink collar for now, when she's grown, we'll make her a pretty one..lo.. There were plenty of jeweled ones that the girls wanted to get Bella, not for $40! But I can make a similar or nicer for MUCH less. Girls wnat bows too. Time to train her to wear them, or she never will.
She is such a doll! We'll be looking in to getting private training for her, if nothing else to teach US how to work with her..lol. Right now we're just trying to get her to respond to her name and to come to us. But she's very shy at the moment being 13 weeks old already, in a new house. But she was very happy and wiggly when I came to wake her this morning, gave lots of snuggles and kisses, so that part is shaping up!
She's as gently as we were told. So we have a good foundation to build on with her.

Thanks

She hasn't had an accident once in the house!!
She gets whiny and antsy, if we're in the kitchen she will go to the door, but anywhere else she's just vocal. So we're very happy about that.
She's been really mind mannered. But tonight after supper, I think we saw the true Bella...lol. Finally warmed up. She is a lively little thing! Saturday she was soooooo timid. Sunday involved several naps and lots of cuddles. But still timid.
Today(Monday), she was more adventurous. She demonstrated she can go up and down stairs(gates are now up until she's completely trained). She showed that on her hind legs she can reach the top of coffee tables..lol. Out came the squirt bottle. Done. She isn't that curious about what goes on top...lol. She also showed that she knows how to bark when looking out the window. Another little squirt. Cured that. She just looked out the window wagging her tail.
She is a chewer, still a baby. But we just replace quickly, what ever she is chewing with what she can chew. Man... she was busy tonight..lol. Thankfully, dh is feeling very patient, and decided to agree with me that puppy training class is in order. We're going to do a private one I think. With our family schedule, I'd rather do a one hour to 2 hour private session where I can learn quickly. Then go for several weeks in the evening. My days start at 6:30 so I'm beat at night, and our camping season starts in May, so I don't want to use up my weekends. The people I've spoken to about the private locally, said after care is awesome. Full email support or phone. So.... we're hoping to do it that way.
