Sad Statistics
Only 1 out of 10 dogs born ever get a home. Only 1 out of 12 cats born ever find a home. 800 dogs & cats are KILLED each HOUR in the U.S, because there are not enough homes for them.
Saving one animal will not change the world, but it will change the world for that one animal.
These statistics would not be so high if people would spay or neuter their pets.

I just paid out of pocket to have the neighborhood cat spayed. She was pregnant, so it was an extra cost. If I could get my hands on the person who is/was her supposed owner, I'd cheerfully kick their behind for letting this sweet cat roam loose where she could potentially get run over, eaten by dogs, shot by mean people, and ohyeah, contribute to the stray cat population because they didn't bother to have her spayed!
I'm now hoping my mother will agree to keep this cat permanently....you're right, it won't change the world, but it will certainly change that one cat's world!Gratitude.

I"m tring to do my part here, feeding & fixing the ones people don't want here. Its sad, I don't understand why people won't get their pets fixed.
We have two more here now that people won't take care of.Pine trees, with their needles pointing up to heaven, represent everlasting light and life.

I swear that if someone doesn't neuter his tom cat (it sprays on my NEW car) I WILL--with a pair of scissors. I won't really, but it realllllly irks me that I keep my animals indoors--altered, UTD on shots, etc. and somebody else feels it's OK to let his unaltered animal roam the countryside. I have cleaned cat spray of of my car three times and DH has it on HIS too. SNARL....

There are societies (Cat Care Coalition) that welcomes donations. 100% of donations goes directly to the TNR (Trap Neuter and Release) program.
It's been a resounding success here.
So successful, they captured and clipped the ear of my already neutered cat! lol! Just to make sure.
It's helped decrease the ferrel population exponentially.
What's left of the ferrel population is being fed by donation and volunteers.
Hopefully we'll get the cat situation under control.
But I DON'T like those statistics!!!!
Please! spay and neuter! Look for free programs if you can't afford it.

Thank you for posting this! It's frusterating when I know people who decide to breed their pet because "it's purebreed and I paid a lot of money for it. So I want to get some of my money back"
Just makes me want to scream at them!!!!
