DOG PEE!! HELP!!!
We just moved into a new townhouse and the tenant before us had a very large red dog ( i know this because of all the hair i've found and the crap outside! lol) ... the landlord did not clean well (ok she didn't clean AT ALL..) and when you go upstairs on the landing is a HUGE pee spot probably 3 feet long and 1 foot wide.. it is HORRIBLE SMELLING!

and i have a dog and he just has a hay day with smelling it which is disgusting because i don't know how long it has been there... it was still wet when we moved in saturday and we looked at the townhouse over a week ago and he hadn't lived there then... i can't believe i didn't notice it then..
Saturday I did dump vinegar on it and scrub with a brush it seemed to help but just not enough..
Please help!

Go to walmart or a pet store, there's a product named natures miracle, or pet miracle. In Canada it's a white bottle with red lettering. Anyway, it's good for odors of the organic nature. Urine, BM, vomit. Animal or people.

Hi - Sorry to hear about his. I am going to give you my recipe for removing cat pee - which is worse than dog pee. You can use 1 quart hydrogen peroxide, 1/4 baking soda and a 1 teaspoon of dish liquid. Mix this up and use immediately. You can reduce the size of the recipe as well and use it in a spray bottle if required. However, also test a small area of whatever you use for fading of the carpet - some of the store bought stuff as well as home recipe will lighten or fade fabrics, carpets, materials, etc.... Perhaps you should speak with the landlord - it doesn't sound very fair to make you have to clean it all!

I've cleaned my carpets with tide when we had a mess before. Good luck to you. You probably already did, but if you haven't please make sure that you have documentation of the stained carpet. It would really stink if your dog was blamed and they tried to make you pay later.

In a house with 3 cats and 3 dogs (all dogs were puppies or not housebroken) I couldn't make it without Nature's Miracle.

Natures Miracle is great. Once you are done cleaning up the stain let it dry completely. Then give is a good dusting of baking soda and let sit overnight. This may also help.

Sounds like the landlord should have the carpet replaced. That is disgusting.
