Default Anyone care to critique my photos?

I just got my camera a few weeks ago, but I'm already in love with it! I've added some of my pictures to my Flickr site, and I wanted to see what you all thought. http://www.flickr.com/photos/mrsbale...7606940890401/. I dream of being able to sell my photography one day, but who knows. It's fun to do for me no matter what. Here's a link to one of my favorites of the bunch so far http://farm4.static.flickr.com/3234/...1fbb9fa8_b.jpg.

You took some really nice pictures. I could not pick just one favorite. Here are the ones I like the best...

And the one with your sandy colored dog sitting on the back of the couch. He looks so cute, like he is sticking out his tongue. I loved that one. It really made me smile. Keep up the good work!!!

I really liked them. One thing I noticed is that there are 'extras' in you frames. When you take the picture be conscious of all that is in the frame. Also in your close ups if you really want the little things ie. the moth to be the focus then you should focus closer to the moth. KWIM?
Another fun thing is to take picture of depths. Like down rows of thing and such. I hope you really enjoy your camera!! You're doing great!!

    Great pics!
Hey what kind of camera did you get?

Did you know there are groups online, free to teach you how to use your camera?
There are sites for free lessons too.

    I have a Cannon Rebel.
I waited for years and years till the price bottomed out and they planned to make new models.
I love it but am VERY new at using the buttons

If you want to see some cool photography to copy look at this site. I have a million more if you ever need more sites for inspiration.

    I LOVE the landscape pictures!

For pics that have lots of "extras" in them, you can just crop it out or photoshop it out. I crop my food pics all the time. Have you tried piknik? It's a free site where you can do lots of things to your pictures ~ www.picnik.com

Great pictures! I reallylove the reflections on the water pictures

I also love to take pictures and for now just practicing here and there while I wait for my last child to get into school and then will look into taking a photography course at our local CC. My dh bought me a great camera that I absolutely love, but really need to learn how to use all the bells and whistles it comes with.

Your pictures are lovely. I have a friend who takes pictures of the Florida Sunsets, and has them framed on her living room wall...Liz

I see what you mean. I do have quiet a bit to learn. I've never taken any photography classes or learned the first thing about SLR cameras before. This is just taking it straight from the box, getting a polarizing and a UV filter, and clicking away. Thank you so much for your critique! It gives me a lot of encouragement. I hope sometime I can take a class or at least get a book on the library before too long. I always get too many irons in the fire though.
