Key Lime Pie
Recipe DescriptionOne of my summer favoritesPreparation Steps:
Preheat oven to 350ºLevel of Difficulty:EasyTime Needed:Ingredients:~1 baked pastry shell or graham cracker pie shellServes:
~3 egg yolks
~1 can sweetened condensed milk
~1/2 cup bottled lime juice8Directions:Beat egg yolks with condensed milk.
Stir in lime juice.
Pour into shell, bake 10 minutes.
Cool. Chill and top with whipped cream, or use the egg whites and make meringue (I usually just use Cool Whip)Last edited by Michelle; 01-22-2009 at 02:25 PM.

we make this with Nellie and Joe's key lime juice. It is sooooo good! Tart and tangy! Yum

I think that's the stuff I used too. I asked Dave to get lime juice at the store, but I was picturing the cheap stuff like the Real Lemon in a bottle.
I made the pie (so easy and fast). Not much to look at right now. Maybe I'll post a picture when I get either Cool Whip or meringue on top...right now it just looks like vanilla pudding in a graham cracker crust
